ABHRT Certification
The WorldLink Medical has developed the ABHRT Certification to equip physicians and healthcare practitioners with the knowledge, assessment, and credibility needed to practice Hormone Replacement Therapy successfully. This certification exam is designed to assess proficiency and competence by testing newly acquired skills through written questions, case studies, hormone workshop reviews, and practical demonstrations of clinical application.
Please Note: Our certification program is evolving and will be updated next year. To complete ABHRT Certification, the 2025 BHRT Training Series curriculum must be completed within 2025.

Why is the Certification Important?
As the demand for hormone therapy continues to rise, so does the need for high-quality educational programs beyond traditional board certifications. A 2012 Harris Poll of over 2,000 U.S. adults revealed that patients are increasingly researching providers' education, experience, bedside manner, and responsiveness, while also evaluating the ease of ongoing care.
Patients are now leveraging online health information to become more educated and proactive in their healthcare decisions. Given these trends, providers must adapt to meet the expectations of these patients by offering more healthcare alternatives and improved service. The ABHRT Certification ensures that physicians and practitioners have attained a high level of competency through rigorous classroom instruction, case study review, examination, and continuing medical education, including specialized hormone replacement training.
What Are the Requirements to Become Certified?
To achieve certification, candidates must complete the Hormone Optimization Series: Mastering the Protocols for Optimization of Hormone Replacement Therapy. Additional requirements include:
- Passing scores on written exams for Part I–IV of the Hormone Optimization Workshop Series.
- A one-time certification fee of $775.00.
- A current healthcare license in good standing.
- Graduation from an accredited medical, osteopathic, physician assistant, nursing, or naturopathic program.
New Changes Next Year
The BHRT Training Series was designed as four parts leaving time in between parts to practice what you learned, as well as complete the corresponding sections of the ABHRT Certification exam, if desired. To complete this certification, the four parts in the BHRT Training series also must be complete.
As we grow and evolve as a company, our certification must also – we are switching platforms that we offer this exam on to eliminate the manual process we have been maintaining as well as updating the questions on the exam – ultimately leading to a better experience for everyone.
Legacy ABHRT Certification
Therefore, the current ABHRT Certification will be available to complete until June 30, 2026 and to purchase until January 31, 2026. After this date, you will no longer be able to complete the ABHRT Certification and will need to sign up and complete requirements for a new certification exam (more information to come) to become certified. If you haven’t completed all the courses, you will have the remainder of this year to complete them and finish the ABHRT Certification exam.
New Certification Program in 2026
We will release a new certification program in February that covers material from BHRT Part 1 and BHRT Part 2. We will add to the certification as new courses are completed. Stay tuned for more information.
About the Exam
- The exam consists of 420 questions and is administered online.
- There is no time limit to complete the exam.

- An Advanced BHRT Certified Seal for use on your website and other marketing materials.
- A logo displayed on the WLM Provider Directory (additional cost) as an ABHRT Certified practitioner listing, including your contact information for patient inquiries.
How Do You Maintain Certification?
Ongoing education is essential to providing the highest level of patient care. To keep your certification current and stay up to date with the latest research, trends, and quality training, we recommend attending at least one BHRT course offered by WorldLink Medical each calendar year.
When you can Begin
The BHRT Training Series is structured into four parts, with breaks in between parts to practice the material, and completing the corresponding sections of the ABHRT Certification exam, if desired. To earn the certification, all four parts in the BHRT Training series also must be completed. The ABHRT Certification process can begin as soon as you finish BHRT Part 1. You have the option to complete each section of the ABHRT Exam alongside the corresponding BHRT part, or complete at all the end – whichever approach you prefer.
