Course Description

This course examines the powerful role of lifestyle in shaping health, resilience, and longevity. Participants will explore how nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, and stress regulation not only support overall well-being but also directly influence gene expression through epigenetic mechanisms.

Faculty experts will highlight the latest research connecting lifestyle interventions to improved outcomes in chronic disease prevention, cognitive function, metabolic health, and healthy aging. Emphasis will be placed on the interplay between daily habits and epigenetic regulation—shedding light on how clinicians can guide patients to harness lifestyle choices as a form of personalized medicine.

By the end of this course, clinicians will be able to:

  • Evaluate the effects of diet, exercise, and sleep on health outcomes and disease risk.
  • Explain the emerging science of epigenetics and its relevance to clinical practice.
  • Identify evidence-based lifestyle interventions for optimizing metabolic, cardiovascular, and cognitive health.
  • Provide patients with practical strategies for implementing sustainable lifestyle changes.

This session is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to integrate the science of lifestyle medicine and epigenetics into patient care, empowering individuals to optimize health through targeted, evidence-based choices.
