Barbara Levy, MD
Barbara Levy, MD is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. She is a thoughtful leader with over 35 years of experience in direct care, research, and physician training in women’s health care. Dr Levy is currently Chief Medical Officer of Visana Health, Inc., a virtual first women’s health company, and a consultant working to improve women’s health globally. In addition, she is Vice-Chair of the American Medical Society’s CPT Editorial Panel and was the vice president of health policy at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists for over 7 years. Doctor Levy is practiced in leading initiatives in international and domestic health, corporate social responsibility, public-private partnerships, government relations, and advocacy and policy development. She has published and co-authored over 95 studies and articles related to her primary research interests, which include menopause, hysterectomy, chronic pelvic pain, surgical outcomes, and physician payment policy. Much of her personal and professional experience has focused on improving the health, well-being, and livelihood of women across the United States and around the world.
