Dr. Bill Campbell is a Professor, Fat Loss Scientist, and Director of the Performance & Physique Enhancement Laboratory at the University of South Florida. He is an award-winning researcher, educator, and internationally recognized expert in sports nutrition, physique enhancement, and sustainable fat loss strategies.
His research focuses on optimizing body composition, exercise performance, and long-term health within realistic and maintainable lifestyles. Dr. Campbell’s pioneering work includes dietary protein intake for maximizing body composition outcomes, rapid fat loss strategies, and the integration of diet breaks into weight loss programs.
More recently, his research has focused on helping midlife women combat the unfavorable body composition changes associated with the menopause transition. His team recently completed the largest fitness-focused menopause survey ever conducted and is currently investigating weight loss resistance in women during menopause.
Dr. Campbell has authored three books on sports nutrition and has published more than 200 scientific abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts related to sports nutrition, physique enhancement, metabolism, and exercise performance. He is the past President of the International Society of Sports Nutrition and serves as an expert legal consultant within the dietary supplement industry.
