
Gayle Frazzetta, MD

Dr. Gayle Frazzetta was born in West Islip, New York. Her Pre-doctorate studies began at Cornell University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Nutritional Science. She then attended S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she earned her Doctorate of Medicine. After obtaining her degrees, Dr. Frazzetta then completed her training through the Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Colorado, even being appointed the position of Chief Resident and received the Golden Apple Teaching award. After graduation, she began private practice and continued her teaching role as an attending physician at the University of Colorado.
Throughout her career, Dr. Frazzetta has earned a number of awards and honors. This year she was presented with the CAFP's Physician of the Year Award. She also earned COPIC’s 2019 Colorado Humanitarian Award, recognizing her volunteer medical services and contributions to the community. This prestigious award recognizes only one physician from all of Colorado, annually. In 2015, she was named “Best of the Valley, Best Doctor, 2015” by the Montrose Daily Press.
Dr. Frazzetta is highly involved in her community and prides herself on being an educator and advocate of women’s health. She has also volunteered in many capacities locally, regionally and globally. She is currently doing research on the impact of hormone pellet therapy on bone mineral density in women. She is passionately involved with improving medical training in women’s health and as a family medicine trained physician, is uniquely poised to treat the whole patient.
