To earn the certification, providers must demonstrate a deep knowledge of the medical literature, appropriate prescribing, and the practical application of hormone optimization in patient care.
Available to medical practitioners who have completed Course 1 and Course 2 in the Optimal Medicine Training Series, this BHRT certification represents an understanding not only of what hormones do, but of the evidence surrounding their use and the practical considerations involved in prescribing, monitoring, adjusting, and individualizing hormone therapy.
This certification reflects completion of advanced CME training and a competency-based examination through Worldlink Medical. It is not equivalent to board certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

Step 2: Complete Navigating Hormone Complexities

- Sexual Health Options

Both hormone courses must be completed to qualify for certification.

Step 3: Complete the Certification Exam
Pass the competency-based examination with a score of at least 80%.
Key focus areas:
- The exam consists of about 200 questions and is administered online.
- Exam is split into 2 sections of 100 questions each correlating to courses 1 & 2
- If you score below 80% you will have one opportunity to retake and pass
- You will receive a list of your incorrect answers
There is a one year time limit to complete exam.
Step 4: Practice BHRT and Display Your Clinical Certification
After completing Course 1, you’ll automatically be enrolled in our Medical Forum—a community of 4000+ providers.

- Complete Course 1: Mastering the Foundations of BHRT
- Complete Course 2: Navigating Hormone Complexities
- Pass the approximately 200-question online certification exam with a score of 80% or higher
- Complete the exam within the one-year time limit
You can purchase and begin the certification process after completing Course 1, but both required courses must be completed before you qualify for certification.
Legacy BHRT providers: Providers who completed Legacy BHRT Part 1 may also qualify by completing Course 2: Navigating Hormone Complexities.

Providers must complete Course 1: Mastering the Foundations of BHRT and Course 2: Navigating Hormone Complexities in the Optimal Medicine Training Series before qualifying for BHRT certification.
You can begin the hormone optimization certification process after completing Course 1. However, you must complete both Course 1 and Course 2 before you can qualify for certification.
The certification exam fee is $575. This fee is separate from registration fees for the two required Optimal Medicine Training Series courses.
You must earn a score of 80% or higher to pass. The exam contains approximately 200 questions divided into two 100-question sections corresponding with Courses 1 and 2.
Yes. The bioidentical hormone therapy certification builds competency in hormone optimization for women and men, including hormonal changes associated with menopause and andropause and individualized approaches to hormone therapy.
Yes. The Clinical Certification in Hormone Optimization provides a foundation for WorldLink Medical’s broader Clinical Certification in Optimal Medicine. If you completed Courses 1 and 2 within the previous two years, you do not need to repeat them when continuing toward Optimal Medicine Certification.
