Course Description

Creating An Empowered Practice (CEP) is an immersive learning program for health professionals at all stages of transforming health practices from managed sick-care to partnered well-care. We know, and you know, that there is much important learning that goes into the creation and development of a different kind of practice with a different way of caring for patients. These include:

  • exploring how to develop stronger patient relationships
  • clarifying a business model and fee structure beyond insurance restrictions
  • creating a more meaningful initial exam
  • trusting the fruitful channel that is word of mouth referrals (80%)
  • clarifying essential documentation, including legal

CEP is exploring these and many other questions that you know help to create empowered practice.

Course Format

At traditional conferences, didactic learning and passive participation are often the norm, with little opportunity to engage collegial wisdom and expertise.

Not here.

At this event, we are committed to engaging each other and to collaborative learning through formats that bring the best of our wisdom and learning together in creating empowered practices.

Anticipate a mix of learning formats – some in small groups interacting, some in large groups, some in personal reflection. This is not learning through pre-determined lectures and power point presentations. Some learning will be through case stories — experiences shared by providers among us of lessons learned, mistakes to avoid, and steps that helped. Some will be through a process for real-time naming of topics you most need to learn and understand now — and then getting to it. CEP is deliberately integrated to support many layers of mutually fulfilling and sustaining provider practice – to empower you in your business of transforming health.

CEP embraces community learning, to create positive change in a positively positioned health path.

It was the great cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead that reminded, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Join us at CEP to learn to walk and build your path, clarify your next steps in creating your empowered practice, contribute with other providers, and change how we think about healthcare.
