(Part 8) Testosterone for Men: What You Need to Master Before Prescribing Testosterone
Objectives
Upon completion of this workshop, the healthcare professional will be able to:
- Review a meta-analyses of the risks, benefits, complications, adverse events, and outcomes associated with testosterone replacement therapy.
- Discuss the research studies that address erythrocytosis and the risk of Prostate Cancer with Testosterone Replacement Therapy.
- Develop a library of testosterone studies that can be shared with patients and posted in their charts.
- Recognize how providing research studies about the benefits of TRT to patients before prescribing testosterone is practicing defensive medicine.
