Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, the healthcare professional will be able to:

  1. Review a meta-analyses of the risks, benefits, complications, adverse events, and outcomes associated with testosterone replacement therapy.
  2. Discuss the research studies that address erythrocytosis and the risk of Prostate Cancer with Testosterone Replacement Therapy.
  3. Develop a library of testosterone studies that can be shared with patients and posted in their charts.
  4. Recognize how providing research studies about the benefits of TRT to patients before prescribing testosterone is practicing defensive medicine.
