INSTRUCTORS:

Bridging the Gap Between Microvascular Dysfunction and Cognitive Impairment

In this presentation, Nathan S. Bryan will provide an overview of the atmospheric and human nitrogen cycles and nitric oxide production pathways in humans. He will review evidence based nitric oxide research specific to vascular function and structure. In addition to nitric oxide production, he will review the importance of nitrate and how much is recommended daily for health benefits. Dr. Bryan will also discuss nitric oxide therapeutic interventional outcome data and how to control and regulate nitric oxide production.

Objectives

Upon completion of this CME activity the healthcare provider will be able to:

  1. Recognize nitric oxide production pathways in humans.
  2. Demonstrate evidence on how NO affects vascular structure and function.
  3. Communicate evidence based nutritional strategies to restore and replete NO production in humans to restore vascular structure and function.
